Job Description
Montrose Environmental Group is seeking a Laboratory Technician I to join the Wet Chemistry Department at its Orange, CA facility. This role supports environmental testing and compliance standards for various samples, including air, water, soil, and toxicology, ensuring quality and accuracy in sample analysis. As a Laboratory Technician, you will contribute to Montrose's commitment to environmental resiliency and sustainability, working within Enthalpy Analytical, a division with over 9 laboratories.

Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday, 11:30 am - 8:00 pm
Primary Responsibilities
Analyze water and soil samples for a variety of components, including:
Alkalinity, conductivity, pH, total dissolved solids, and turbidity
Oil & grease, cyanide, sulfides, flash points, and reactive sulfide
Ammonia, BOD, COD, hexavalent chromium, and total organic carbon
Clean laboratory glassware and maintain clean work areas
Keep organized records of sample preparation and analysis
Participate in projects aimed at improving efficiency and accuracy
Support Group Leaders in inventorying consumables, chemicals, and parts
Follow Enthalpy’s Quality Assurance Program and Health and Safety Plan
Perform additional duties as assigned by Group Leaders or the Lab Director
Qualifications and Skills
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of analytical methods, lab instruments, and lab safety protocols
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently as well as in a team
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration
