Job Summary:

SimInsights, a software development company based in Irvine, California, is looking for a Grant Assistant to work with senior staff members to increase the rate of preparation and submission of grant proposals to support the fundraising. The ideal person will have a passion for technology, training, education, and workforce development.


Essential Job Duties:

  • Search for RFPs and funding opportunities in the AI/VR field.

  • Assist with preparing proposals by studying requests for proposal (RFPs), determining the high-level requirements, gathering information from team members, writing drafts, and obtaining feedback and formatting the final version.

  • Help meet proposal deadlines by establishing priorities and target dates for all proposal preparation tasks and submission.

  • Coordinates requirements with contributors and provides proposal status information in review meetings.

  • Develops proposal by assembling information including project nature, objectives/outcomes/deliverables, implementation, methods, timetable, staffing, budget, standards of performance, and evaluation.

  • Coordination of meetings, run meetings, take notes on action items, and follow up via email or phone call.


Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, or related field preferred

  • Written communication skills

  • Technical documentation

  • Presentation skills

  • Formatting and layout skills

  • Deadline and detail oriented

Hours of Operation:

Monday – Friday: 8am – 5pm
