SALARY RANGE: $19.83/hour to $24.12/hour in five annual steps

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:  Under the direct supervision of the Executive Director of Teaching and Learning, or designee, provide support and paraprofessional work, assist the physical education teacher with instructional activities, and assist students to reinforce material already presented through special efforts and repetitions.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or GED required and some experience in working with children. Some college-level coursework in early childhood education, psychology, and/or coursework in kinesiology is desirable. Possession of a valid CA driver’s license.


THE EXAMINATION: Candidates may be examined on their general knowledge of the care of preschool and school-aged children, health and safety practices, the ability to follow instructions, and get along with students, staff, and co-workers.
