Job Summary:

The Volunteer Administrative Assistant provides essential support in managing daily administrative tasks, ensuring smooth operations within the organization. This role is ideal for individuals with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for contributing to a meaningful cause.


Essential Job Duties:

  • Perform data entry, document filing, and record-keeping tasks.

  • Organize and maintain digital and physical files to ensure easy accessibility.

  • Respond to emails, phone calls, and inquiries in a professional and timely manner.

  • Assist in scheduling volunteer shifts and other departmental needs.

  • Support event planning and coordination, including logistics and outreach efforts.

  • Maintain volunteer and donor databases, updating records as needed.

  • Create and edit documents and reports as required.

  • Collaborate with team members to streamline office procedures and improve efficiency.

  • Assist with volunteer shift check-in/check-out process at the beginning and end of shifts.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Candidates with basic Microsoft Windows proficiency (such as experience from school) will be considered.

  • Prior administrative experience preferred but not required.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently.

  • A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take initiative.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.

  • Administrative and clerical skills.

  • Event planning and coordination.

  • Database management and organization.

  • Professional communication and customer service.


Hours of Operation:

Mon- Fri: 6am-5pm

Sat- Sun: 8am-5pm

Must be available to work: 25-30 hours a week
